Gubgam: Intimacy Game
Designed to bring people together and strengthen platonic intimacy. Healthy friendships and relationships begin with self-awareness, empathy, and communication, which are the core pillars of
Gub-gam's design.
My Design Flow
This design flow depicts my thought process through the stages of the design process. You begin with an assumption that you either prove or disprove. Then you start all over again with a new assumption.
Whether or not your decision to create a digital game to aid with stress is based on research or an assumption. The inquiry into our decisions, for example, whether a decision to create a stress-relieving digital game is based on research or an assumption, for example, shifts a more linear mindset into a more circular one.

Management Methods
This is a flowchart that outlines my reasoning for selecting the management methods I selected. I used a more agile and holistic approach to managing this project.
Many of the practices I employ can be labelled also "Lean" or "Kanban,“ which have many commonalities. To assign and complete my tasks, I use a Kanban board to track them and a calendar to schedule meeting times (interviews). When these two strategies are used together, they aid in the scheduling of interviews and work that must be completed cooperatively.
The Problem
The recent pandemic has brought the distance of relationships within urban environments to light. Friendship circles have deteriorated causing people to feel more lonely.
User Research
Interviews

Empathy map
From the interviews, empathy maps and personas were used to understand and dive deeper into what our target audience would feel. From that, we garnered that the target people who are bothered by something, but does not want to bring it up to their friend.

The
Solution
A lightweight way to connect and understand others. The game promotes a healthier relationship: more connected individuals and deep listeners that are conscious of their actions.
